Who Is Insula Labs?

Insula Labs, LLC is a Michigan company. There is no team. It’s just me, Bosley. I design it, write the code, and put it out. On X I’m @beausolai.

I’m building Insula. Right now it’s a personal agentic desktop environment with a fully featured editor inside the chat interface. I’m developing the editor on itself. You open a real project and work with an agent in the same space as your files, terminals, and the editor. You bring your own models. The index stays local. You control the approvals.

The editor is the first stage. That’s why this is a beta release. Once it’s stable enough, the plan is to grow it into a broader personal agent suite. Something closer to a generative environment where you describe what you want and the interfaces shape themselves around how you work. A companion for the computer, not just another tool for writing code or documents.
